“The ABC’s of Lowriding,”
a children’s book celebrating lowrider culture.

The book was inspired by Cortez’s desire to pass down lowrider heritage to his daughter and educate kids about the culture. It features each letter representing an aspect of lowriding, like “K” for “Knowledge” honoring Sonny Madrid’s Lowrider Magazine. Cortez caught the “lowrider bug” at 13, building model cars and attending shows with his dad, later inheriting classic cars from his grandfather.
